Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick-up and Transfer to Nyungwe National Park via King’s Palace (Nyanza)
Upon arrival or after breakfast, our professional driver-guide will pick you up and transfer you to Nyungwe National Park.
En route, enjoy a significant stop at the King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza to experience Rwanda’s rich cultural history.
Proceed to your lodge for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Experience – Nyungwe Forest
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the starting point for your thrilling chimpanzee tracking adventure in Nyungwe Forest.
Explore the dense forest while seeking playful chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
After this unforgettable experience, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 3: Canopy Walk and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, embark on a thrilling canopy walk adventure, giving you a bird’s-eye view of Nyungwe’s lush green forests and wildlife.
Afterward, transfer to Volcanoes National Park, with a lunch stop along the way.
Arrive at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Gorilla Tracking Experience – Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing.
You will then begin the incredible gorilla tracking experience, venturing into the misty forests in search of endangered mountain gorillas.
Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants before heading back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 5: Golden Monkey Tracking and Cultural Village Visit
After breakfast, proceed to the briefing point for golden monkey tracking.
Meet the park rangers who will guide you through the dos and don’ts before setting off to find these rare primates.
Later, visit a local cultural village to experience traditional Rwandan dances, dressing, and cultural practices that will leave you feeling connected to the heart of Africa.
Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 6: Kigali City Tour and Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Kigali for a city tour.
Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and resilience, and explore Kimironko Market for authentic Made-in-Rwanda souvenirs.
After the city tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of this memorable tour.
